Breathe Easy CE Services, LLC was founded by Jose Vazquez. Jose's Healthcare background comes from being a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Southern California for over a decade. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Jose has had the opportunity to work in Acute Care Bedside and Outpatient Care. While in Acute Care, Jose gained experience in the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As an outpatient Respiratory Care Practitioner had the experience of running a Pulmonary Rehabilitation program and an Oxygen Utilization department. As a child, Jose had a loved one who suffered from asthma. Whenever his loved one's asthma was exacerbated and was taken to the hospital, Jose felt a sense of security when he would see the Respiratory Care Practitioner. He felt his loved one was about to get the help he needed. This planted a seed in Jose that he had no idea was planted because it would not blossom until many, many years later. Jose's greatest passion is helping people. As an Acute Care Respiratory Care Practitioner, this has meant helping people at the bedside by working closely with multidisciplinary teams, assessing, recommending, and providing appropriate patient therapies. Every patient Jose has cared for brings him back to that child who would see a Respiratory Care Practitioner come and help his loved one. Compassionate and empathetic care is the cornerstone of Jose's practice. While working as a bedside Respiratory Care Practitioner, Jose has had the pleasure of mentoring Respiratory Care Students, new staff, and a group of peers. The feeling of accomplishment while mentoring has been great due to the belief that by helping others, others will help others. This brings us to Breathe Easy CE Services. Small Personalized Classes To lower any possible anxiety and to finish the class as promptly and efficiently as possible, we maintain our classes to no more than five learners per class (certain exceptions apply) Same Day Provider eCards We understand most people do not seek our certification for fun, but because it is a requirement for work. Having that in mind, we will issue your Provider eCard the same day following the successful completion of your class. You will receive your eCard in your email directly from the American Heart Association Instructor Support Our goal is for you to understand the information provided. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). 02 Who should take this course? The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. 03 What does this course teach? High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components Important early use of an AED Effective ventilations using a barrier device Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants 04 When will I receive my Provider Card Your Provider card will be available the same day. You will receive an email from eCards@heart.org with a link inviting you to claim your eCard online. Please make sure to check your spam or junk folder. The link will direct you to the Student Profile webpage. 05 Am I able to claim my card via SMS text? Note: For students to opt-in to this service, an Instructor or Training Center must FIRST enter the student’s mobile phone number in the eCards system when issuing an eCard. 1. During or after class, (if your Instructor or Training Center has entered your mobile phone number into the eCard system) opt-in to claim/view your eCard by texting “eCard” to the number 51736. 2. If the message is sent correctly per the guidance of your Instructor, you will receive instructions via text message on how to claim your eCard. 3. If you attempt to opt-in and your number is not in the system, you will receive a message that your phone number was not found. 06 I lost my Provider Card, how can I get a new copy? You can download your card directly from the American Heart Association. Visit https://ecards.heart.org/student/myecards. On the “Student” tab, enter your First Name, Last Name, and Email (ensure this is the email address that was used to sign up for the course) OR enter your eCard Code at the bottom of the page.. Click “Search.” 07 My employer requires my BLS to be AHA Certified. Is BLS AHA Certified YES!!! Contact us directly at 626-782-4248; we may be able to accommodate your preferred date or time, and even location. 09 How can my Employer verify my Provider eCard: Visit the eCards Search page (https://ecards.heart.org/student/myecards). On the “Employer” tab, enter the eCard Code (up to 20), and click “Verify.” 10 I am interested in an AARC Continued Education course. Are these courses available yet? Given the steep increase from the AARC in getting Continued Respiratory Care Education (CRCE) courses approved, this program is on pause for now until we find a reasonable solution for you. The short answer is no, The American Heart Association is not an accrediting agency. You may contact your accrediting body to see if they will accept/award CE credits for this or any other AHA course you complete successfully. As of July, 2025, the Respiratory Care Board of California states the following: "The Board will approve 15 hours of CE for each initial certification and five hours of CE for each recertification (toward respiratory care clinical practice CE) for a licensee’s successful completion of the following certification examinations: • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), offered by various providers. • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), offered by various providers. • Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS), offered by various providers. • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), offered by various providers. • Asthma Educator Certified (AE-C), provided by the National Asthma Educator Certification Board."
